  • The studio is located at The Granary, The Grange Centre, 24 Barkham Ride, Finchampstead, Wokingham, RG40 4EU — in the heart of Royal Berkshire. The studio is easily accessible from Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, Camberley, Guildford, Farnham, Fleet, Hook, Basingstoke, Windsor, Farnborough, and further afield across Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire. All appointments are private and by arrangement only.

  • Not at all. Many clients arrive with just a feeling — an idea of how they want to look and feel, a few images saved to their phone, or simply a sense of occasion and personality. Vaishali's role is to help you discover and define your vision, drawing on her expertise to guide you through silhouettes, fabrics, colour palettes, and embellishment options. You are in exceptionally safe and experienced hands from the very first conversation.

It is designed around your precise measurements, your silhouette, your personality, and your wedding day vision — not a sample size altered to approximate a fit. Every seam, fabric choice, embellishment, and detail is agreed upon collaboratively and crafted to couture standards, ensuring you feel not just beautiful, but completely, authentically yourself.

  • Absolutely. Vaishali warmly encourages brides to bring inspiration — whether that is images from Pinterest, magazine cuttings, a fabric swatch, or even a sketch of an idea.   • We recommend allowing a minimum of 8-12 Weeks before your wedding date, particularly for a fully bespoke gown. This allows generous time for initial consultation, design, toile creation, fabric sourcing from suppliers, the making process, and all fittings — without any rush. That said, please do get in touch even if your timeline is shorter; Vaishali will always do her very best to accommodate you and discuss what is achievable.

Having all bridesmaids' gowns made to their individual measurements means a perfect fit for every member of your party — and a truly polished look on the day.

Mother of the Bride / Mother of the Groom

  • As the Mother of the Bride or Groom, you hold one of the most treasured roles in the wedding. A bespoke outfit means an impeccable fit, a colour and fabric chosen specifically to complement the bridal party, and a design that reflects your own personality and elegance — not a dress that dozens of other women may be wearing at other weddings that year. Vaishali understands precisely how to create outfits that make mothers feel confident, radiant, and utterly unforgettable.

  • Every style, silhouette, and length is available — from graceful full-length gowns and elegant midi dresses to tailored trouser suits and co-ordinated two-piece ensembles. Colour, fabric, embellishment, and design are all chosen in collaboration with you, taking into account the wedding's colour palette, your personal preference, the venue, and the time of year. Whether your style is classic and understated or bold and show-stopping, Vaishali will create something that is truly perfect for you.

  • Yes. Vaishali is experienced in creating outfits for both mothers that complement one another beautifully — ensuring harmony in the wedding photographs without either mother appearing identical. This is a delicate art, and one that Vaishali navigates with both sensitivity and considerable style.

  • We recommend booking your initial consultation at least 8-12 Weeks before the wedding. This allows comfortable time for design, fabric sourcing, making, and multiple fittings to ensure a perfect result. However, please do get in touch whatever your timeline — Vaishali will discuss what is possible and ensure you are never left without an extraordinary outfit for one of the most important days of your life.

The Design Process & Fittings

  • The journey begins with a free initial consultation, during which Vaishali will explore your vision, take initial measurements, and discuss design ideas and fabric options from her exclusive sourced collection. An estimate is then provided, and upon acceptance, your bespoke pattern is created and a toile (a prototype in test fabric) is made so you can see the shape and feel the silhouette before your chosen fabric is cut. You will then have a second fitting in your actual fabric, with embellishments and final adjustments agreed, followed by a final fitting to ensure everything is absolutely perfect before your garment is collected.

  • Every commission at Vz Perfection includes three fittings as standard: the toile fitting, a second fitting in your chosen fabric, and a final fitting prior to collection. Each appointment is private, unhurried, and conducted entirely around your schedule. Additional fittings can be arranged if required — Vaishali will only allow you to leave until you are completely and entirely happy.

  • A toile is a prototype of your garment made in inexpensive fabric — typically calico or muslin — to the exact pattern and design of your final dress. It is an essential step in the bespoke process that allows both you and Vaishali to assess the fit, shape, and silhouette before committing to your chosen fabric. It is during the toile fitting that adjustments are made, embellishments are placed, and the design is refined until it is exactly right. This stage is what separates true couture from simply having a dress made.

The studio is designed to feel warm, welcoming, and completely relaxed from the moment you arrive.

Specialist Bridal Alterations & Other Alterations

  • Yes. Vaishali offers a specialist bridal alteration service for existing gowns — whether you have purchased a dress that needs adjusting for a perfect fit, wish to update or restyle a gown, or have a beloved dress that needs to be adapted for a different occasion. All alterations are carried out to the very highest couture standards, with the same care and precision as a commission made entirely from scratch.

  • Absolutely, and this is one of Vaishali's most cherished commissions. Restyling, restoring, or reimagining a family gown — whether it is a mother's or grandmother's wedding dress — is an emotionally significant and technically skilled process that Vaishali approaches with enormous respect and sensitivity. Fabric, Pricing & Practicalities

  • Vaishali sources fabrics from exclusive suppliers, offering a curated selection of luxury textiles including silk, duchess satin, organza, chiffon, tulle, lace, crepe, and embroidered and embellished fabrics for those seeking something truly extraordinary. Fabric choices are explored collaboratively at your consultation, with Vaishali offering expert guidance on what will work best for your design, body shape, and occasion.

  • As every garment is entirely individual, pricing is provided as a bespoke estimate following your initial consultation, which is free and carries no obligation. The cost reflects the design complexity, fabric selection, and the skill and time involved in creating a one-of-a-kind couture piece. Vaishali is committed to transparency and will always discuss your priorities and budget openly, ensuring there are absolutely no surprises.

  • Yes, a 70% deposit is required upon acceptance of your estimate to secure your commission and begin sourcing your fabrics. Full payment terms are discussed and agreed at consultation, and Vaishali is happy to talk through staged payment options where appropriate. Please raise any questions about payment during your initial appointment.

  • Yes. Whilst the studio is based in Finchampstead, Berkshire, clients travel from across Surrey, Hampshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Greater London — and occasionally further afield — for the Vz Perfection experience.
